Some places become part of your story forever.
Not because they’re extravagant or famous, but because they’re where everything changed.
For these two, that place is Lost Mission, a beautiful Texas Hill Country wedding venue tucked away in Spring Branch, just outside of San Antonio.
Long before they stood in front of my camera for their Lost Mission anniversary session, they were simply two guests attending a mutual friend’s wedding. They struck up a conversation, spent the evening talking, laughing, and dancing together, and by the end of the night, they both knew something felt different.
That chance meeting turned into dating, dating turned into forever, and years later they found themselves back where it all began, this time celebrating the life they’ve built together.

One of my favorite things about photographing couples is when a location already holds meaning.
An anniversary session isn’t just about taking beautiful photos. It’s about remembering where your story started and giving yourselves permission to slow down for a little while.
As we wandered through Lost Mission, every corner sparked another memory.
“This is where we first met.”
“We spent half the reception talking over here.”
“We danced right here.”
Instead of simply posing for photos, they spent the evening reliving the moments that eventually led them to marriage. They laughed at old stories, filled in the details I would’ve never known otherwise, and completely forgot there was a camera following them around.
Those are always the moments I love documenting most.

There’s a reason Lost Mission has become one of the most loved wedding venues near San Antonio.
The Spanish-inspired architecture, warm stone walls, towering oak trees, and peaceful Texas Hill Country landscape create an atmosphere that feels timeless. As sunset settled over the venue, everything was covered in the softest golden light, making every corner feel even more romantic.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, engagement session, or anniversary session at Lost Mission, the property offers endless opportunities for meaningful photographs that feel both elegant and natural.
Golden hour here is something special.
The light moves gently across the venue, creating a warm glow that invites you to slow down, take a deep breath, and simply enjoy being together.

Life has a way of moving quickly.
You get married, settle into routines, buy a home, build careers, maybe even grow your family. Before long, years have passed.
That’s why I believe it’s so important to intentionally revisit the places that shaped your relationship.
Sometimes it’s the coffee shop where you had your first date.
Sometimes it’s the hiking trail where you got engaged.
Sometimes it’s your wedding venue.
And sometimes it’s the place where two strangers happened to meet at someone else’s wedding and unknowingly began writing the rest of their story.
Those places deserve to be celebrated just as much as the milestones themselves.

As a San Antonio couples photographer, I love photographing anniversary sessions because they give couples the chance to reconnect without the distractions of everyday life.
There’s no timeline to follow.
No guests waiting.
No expectations.
Just the two of you revisiting the places, conversations, and memories that brought you here.
Whether you choose a meaningful location like Lost Mission, your favorite coffee shop, the trail where you got engaged, or simply somewhere that feels like the two of you, your photos become more than beautiful portraits.
They become a reminder of your story.

If you’ve been thinking about planning an anniversary session at Lost Mission, an engagement session, or simply want updated photos together in a place that means something to you, I’d love to help tell your story.
The most meaningful photographs aren’t created because of perfect poses or incredible locations.
They’re created because the place already holds pieces of your heart.

If you’re looking for a San Antonio couples photographer, a Lost Mission photographer, or someone to document your relationship in a way that feels genuine and true to who you are, I’d love to be part of it.

It's easy to get caught up in the planning and forget to slow down and actually experience your wedding day. Timelines fill up, the day moves quickly, and before you know it, it's over. That's where I come in.
I'll guide you when you need it, especially during portraits but I'll never take you out of the moments that matter most. My goal is to make the photography side of your day feel effortless, so you can stay present while I capture your story as it naturally unfolds.
